2018

Foundation

In 2018 the vision for “RU” (standing for Remember Us) was born. While the details behind the label remain intentionally discreet, the mission was clear: to discover, empower and share authentic voices. At the heart of it were two rising artists: Yolo Ru and his brother Koon Ru, who brought raw talent, determination and a relentless work ethic to the table.

2019

First Breakthrough

One of the first offerings from this journey was Yolo Ru’s single “Meet The Plug”, featuring Koon Ru. That track marked the brothers’ first taste of collaborative success. Soon after, Yolo released “Struggle” and “Got It On Me” (featuring Koon Ru and Duke Deuce) — the latter quickly gaining traction and climbing to one million views on YouTube. Their studio sessions were intense, DIY-driven, and all about honing craft

2020

Global Expansion

Despite global challenges, we expanded our roster with international artists and established partnerships with major streaming platforms.

2021

Building the RU Legacy

While the artists were gaining traction, the RU brand itself began to take shape as more than just a label — it became a creative hub. The team started expanding its network of producers, engineers, and digital marketers, ensuring that each project under the RU name carried consistent quality and identity.
